As part of the City Nature Challenge, the Co-Creation & Engagement team and the Sustainability Office are inviting participants to two events. Inspired by Guy Debord's ‘Theory of the Drift’ (1956), we will let ourselves drift and discover the biodiversity at our Bahrenfeld and Von-Melle-Park campus locations. Each participant will bring their own senses and experiences to create a collective impression of the local environment. We will note down the flora and fauna that catch our eye during our tour – either analogously and/or digitally. In this way, we will contribute to an important citizen science project and, at the same time, explore these urban areas and the life they harbour.
Please bring the following materials (if possible):
· Notepad and pens (e.g. pencils, graphite, charcoal, fineliners, coloured pencils, pastel chalks – of your choice!)
· Charged mobile phones (install the iNaturalist app in advance: https://www.inaturalist.org/)
· Weatherproof clothing
