Welcome Service for International Researchers

Welcome to the University of Hamburg!

The Welcome Service supports international researchers, including doctoral researchers, who are staying for at least one month at the University of Hamburg.

We provide information, advice, and assistance with everything you need for your stay and life in Hamburg: entering Germany, obtaining health insurance, finding housing, dealing with authorities, looking for a suitable kindergarten for your child, and more.

The Welcome Service is happy to help you with any questions you have about your stay in Hamburg.
