Since 1996, the University of Stellenbosch and Universität Hamburg have been working together closely. All faculties and core research areas take part in this successful and blossoming cooperation; today, the universities enjoy a strategic partnership. University-wide exchange programs strengthen the partnership and enable students and researchers to internationalize research and networks and to contribute to the partnership’s future success.
The Joint PhD programs described here allow doctoral researchers to complete doctoral studies at the University of Stellenbosch and Universität Hamburg.

Only completed and signed application forms will be accepted. Application forms should be submitted to the coordinating office (see side bar).
Stellenbosch University graduates and doctoral researchers who are interested in taking part in the Joint Program should contact the international office of their home university.
