2025 Call for Joint Proposals: Joint Funding
Indiana University and the University of Hamburg offer joint funding for collaborative projects with high potential to lead to externally funded research, larger scale collaborations, jointly authored papers and/or common teaching activities at the undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral levels. Faculty members from IU and UHH may apply jointly for up to USD 8,000.

| For joint projects involving Indiana University and the University of Hamburg
| Deadline for submission of joint application: submission recommended by 30 November 2025; update: the review process has started and we recommend to contact your program coordinator before writing and submitting a proposal; due to the number of submitted proposals, we cannot guarantee available funding at this point
| Notification of outcomes: begins on 31 December 2025 and will continue until funds are exhausted; the notification of ourcomes has been changed and will be on 12 January 2026
| Amount of funding: up to USD 8,000 depending on size and duration of the project
| Funding period: 1 January 2026 - 31 December 2026
| Duration of funding: up to 12 months
| Report of activity: within three months after conclusion of the project/end of the funding period
